Gear Up: Basic Auto Care Workshops at Hauser & Wirth Los Angeles

In conjunction with the Jason Rhoades exhibition DRIVE and THE PIT at Hauser & Wirth Los Angeles, I recently led four “Gear Up: Basic Auto Care Clinics” for both gallery staff and the general public. For Rhoades, “the car was a vehicle of artistic pursuit”—something I can relate to! It was so great teaching the staff who were there in their work attire: a real-world scenario when changing a flat tire.

Alongside the workshops, Hauser & Wirth’s Education Lab featured my newly updated book, Maintenance Required: Basic Auto Care Workbook and Resource Guide (reprinted by Co-Conspirator Press).
